Langkawi was the last leg of our trip of Malaysia. In fact the destination was first spotted by Antara herself and thus she suggested with it's inclusion in the itinerary. From KL we somehow managed to arrive in Langkawi because we had missed our flights. That was unfortunate. Well better things come late.
So here was the plan of the trip
Where we went?
Eagle Square also known as Dataran Lang is one of the iconic manmade structures made. A 12 metre tall statue of a reddish brown eagle standing by the coast is a symbol of Langkawi. Infact the island Langkawi derived it's name from "Helang" means eagle and "Kawi" means reddish brown, hence Langkawi.
If you are an adventure sports seeker , then this is the beach which I am talking about. Pentai Cenang offers a wide range of sporting activities (parasailing, jet-skiing etc). It's approx 1 hr drive from the Berjaya Resorts.
Langkawi Sky Bridge / Cable Car
The most thrilling and adventurous journey to the top of the mountain would give anyone goosebumps. It gives a bird eye view of Langkawi from the top. It's recommended to avail the glass bottom cable car or glass gondola.
Pantai Pasir Hitam aka Black Sands Beach
Known as the Black Sands Beach, the destination is an ordinary beach with blue waters and black sands. Please do carry umbrella / hats to protect yourself from the sun.
Where we stayed?
If you are a fan of Indian Cinema and if you had watched "Roy" the film then you might have noticed that most of the plot was shot in Langkawi and the team also stayed in Berjaya resorts which is also clipped in the movie.
